5 tools to prevent fogging in the bathroom mirror

It is no secret that after taking a hot shower, water vapor forms in the bathroom, which likes to settle with droplets of water on smooth and cold surfaces, such as tiles, walls and mirrors. And it is this fact that gives us the most inconvenience. There are different ways to solve the problem.
Dry soap
Various soapy substances help create a protective film that prevents vapor condensation. To get started, wash the mirror thoroughly, and wipe it dry with a paper towel without streaks. Then you can use a regular piece of laundry soap, which should rub the entire surface of the mirror. Finally, grab a suede towel and wipe the surface so that no soap residue is visible. The same effect will be if you replace the dry soap with liquid or shampoo. For medium-sized mirrors, it will be enough to take half a teaspoon of such a tool. The protective effect lasts up to ten days.
Gelatin solution
This remedy came to us from grandmothers. To prepare, use a teaspoon of gelatin and a quarter cup of cold water. After stirring everything in one container, wait until the mixture acquires a uniform consistency. Gelatin is applied onto a clean, prepared mirror surface with a cotton pad. After drying, all this is polished with a paper towel. Repeat the procedure every five days and the protective layer of gelatin will not let the steam interfere with your plans.
Glycerol
A very affordable and useful tool that you can buy in a pharmacy is perfect for our purposes. In addition, it is odorless. Glycerin creates a greasy film that does not transmit heat; accordingly, the steam will not cool and settle on the mirror. Mix 70 ml of glycerin and 30 ml of water and apply with a clean, dry cloth on the mirror, rubbing evenly over the surface. The disadvantages are the short duration of the action and the rapid accumulation of dust.
Shaving foam
The most effective and durable way in our opinion. With it, the problem of fogged glass can be forgotten for weeks. Usual shaving foam is used, a little more effect can be obtained from shaving gel. As mentioned above, apply a little foam or gel to a clean mirror and grind to transparency. The method is practically devoid of disadvantages.
Toothpaste
And finally, toothpaste, however, it will be necessary to use for our purposes not ordinary white, but transparent gel-like and without spangles of fillers. The same effect as from other means, plus durability. The disadvantage is that the right paste is not in every home. Although the effect of this method will last at least a month.
After such methods, it is easiest to clean the glass surface with alcohol-based products, so you can very easily remove any impurities and not leave streaks.
