7 things to throw out during spring cleaning
Periodically, you need to get rid of old and unnecessary things that have accumulated in the apartment for several years. And it’s best to do this, of course, during spring cleaning. We offer a list of things that you need to say goodbye to first.
Broken things
If you still have not taken the broken home appliances for repair and have found a replacement for it long ago, then it's time to finally throw it away. This also includes old and damaged dishes or furniture. You also need to get rid of old mobile phones, board games or puzzles in which there are not enough parts, used batteries (we give them for recycling), umbrellas with broken knitting needles, sharpened pencils and long-writing pens with felt-tip pens. Do not regret throwing away all these things, because they only litter the space, harm the atmosphere in the house and just spoil the interior.
Dried flowers
For life, dried, dried houseplants should try to reanimate. If all is unsuccessful, you have to throw them away, albeit a pity. But in the house there will be no extra dust collectors and the risk of infection of other colors. In addition, it will be possible to update domestic vegetation and acquire species that may take root better.
Expired Household Chemicals and Cosmetics
For household chemical supplies, you should always check the expiration date and dispose of it on time, even if half of the money is left in the jar or it was not opened at all. The same applies to cosmetics. After the expiration of the storage period, they lose their properties and can harm the skin and body. If you like this or that remedy or you did not manage to use it in a fresh state, it is better to get a new one. Also, do not forget to get rid of unused probes when parsing your cosmetic bag.
Expired Food and Drugs
There should definitely not be any stale or spoiled products in the refrigerator. A home medicine cabinet must be regularly sorted out and thrown away medicines with an almost and completely expired shelf life. Remember that regretting some drug, albeit expensive, can greatly harm your health.
Waste paper
Dismantle a stack of receipts or checks and discard those that are no longer relevant. You need to leave only receipts with utility bills, which are usually stored for 3 years.
Sort through old magazines and newspapers. Periodicals hardly contain relevant information (except for a selection of recipes). This can be thrown away, taken to the library, given to friends at the cottage, or turned over for recycling.
You can immediately collect overdue discount coupons, guides, instructions, old textbooks, abstracts and diaries, books that you have long lost interest in, postcards, posters from the mailbox, children's drawings (you can leave only the best ones).
Old personal care products
Combs, toothbrushes, washcloths are definitely not those things that require long-term storage.It is necessary to update all personal hygiene items, despite their perfectly preserved condition and appearance. Also pay attention to objects that have lost their appearance, for example, a cracked soap dish or a faded bath mat. Such things must be periodically sought for a replacement so that they are pleasant to use.
Clothes and shoes that are not used for a long time
If pants or a dress are hanging in the closet that you have not worn for a long time or never, you should reconsider your wardrobe. Place advertisements for the sale or donation of things, take them to charities or hand them over to a store where they accept old things for recycling.
With shoes that aren't like you, do the same. If a couple rubbed you for a long time, didn’t wear it, and you stopped wearing it, don’t expect something to change.
Do not try to clear the space of unnecessary things in one day. Just do it more often. And you will notice how it will become more spacious around, it will be easier to breathe, and cleaning will take place many times faster.
