Fuel briquettes: better firewood or not
Firewood and fuel briquettes are materials used for heating. The former have been used since ancient times, and the latter arose relatively recently. Fuel briquettes are also called euro-woods. They include waste wood, cereal plants, nutshells and other plant residues.
Production of briquettes and their varieties
As a result of the work of the food and woodworking industries, waste is generated from which eurowood is produced. They are obtained by strong drying and thorough pressing. Moisture is removed from the material, and it becomes strong and dense.
When burning eurodroves, no harm is inflicted on humans and the environment, since their composition does not contain chemical components. Depending on the production method, there are 3 types of briquettes for heating: Roof, Nestro and Pini Key. The first type is the simplest, and the second and third are obtained by a modern processing method.

The duration of combustion and heat transfer from briquettes is longer than from firewood. This is due to their density. Euro-woods are made on modern equipment, which makes them compact and convenient to use.
Compared to firewood, briquettes are much less needed. The ease of their ignition creates the stability of fire without soot. Little ash remains from their use, only 1%. This type of fuel can be done independently, which will significantly save on the budget.
The disadvantages of fuel briquettes
Artificial firewood has its drawbacks. These include mandatory storage in a dry place, without access to moisture, since this product is characterized by its absorption.
This type of heating does not withstand shock and breaks easily. When burning, they emit a specific smell, and the resulting flame in the fireplace is small and does not look as beautiful as with firewood.
The more profitable to heat the room
To understand the benefits of using briquettes, you can compare their price with the cost of firewood. Experts estimate that they are 2 times more expensive than firewood, although the price of the latter is determined based on the type of wood. In addition, firewood is not loaded tightly into the car, and as a result, a person acquires only 0.5 cubic meters.
It is necessary to figure out how much the price difference is inferior to the technical characteristics of the Eurodra. An experiment was conducted for which the same amount of firewood and briquettes was taken. They flared up the same way, but artificial firewood burned much longer. After 1 hour of burning, the briquettes did not decrease, and the firewood turned into coals. In reality, it turned out that the cost of such fuel justifies its use.
Experts recommend giving preference to fuel briquettes from sawdust, since they are close to firewood in terms of quality of combustion. Not all products are the same in quality. Having one form, they can differ in humidity, ash content and combustion temperature.This universal type of product is suitable for fireplaces, fuel boilers, stoves and other heating devices.
