7 ways to neatly place wires and extension cords

The order in the house is the order in the head, says the old folk wisdom. But modern houses are surrounded by hundreds of wires and cables, and these numerous “snakes” lying in the corners cause irritation. But do not be upset and give up - after all, tidying up kilometers of wires is not so difficult.

Decorative boxes

Extension cords with wires often get in the way on the floor or table, and also collect dust and look ugly.

To solve the problem, take an unnecessary box, make a couple of holes for the wires and hide them there together with the extension cord.

A box from under shoes or small household appliances is suitable. So that it does not catch the eye, you can decorate it by sticking wrapping paper over it, or put it under a table or cabinet.

Small wicker baskets

In this case, a wicker basket is suitable instead of a box. In it, you can also make holes for the cords and, if desired, remove away.

If you cannot remove the basket with the extension cord, you can leave the basket in full view. It looks great in open space and will complement your interior with an unusual detail.

Special boxes

There are special boxes that are sold in stores. They are made of plastic with a rubber bottom and have special holes and mounts. Such boxes look beautiful, they can be left on the floor next to household appliances or mounted on furniture or a wall.

There is another option for such boxes. It is a beautiful plastic bag that fits on a cabinet, table or cabinet.

Clips

Clips-clips will help to organize scattered wires. They are easily mounted on furniture or the wall.

These clamps are sold in construction departments and equipment stores. If the fastener is planned to be placed in a visible place, decorative clips should be selected. And inconspicuous transparent models perfectly merge with a light surface and do not catch the eye.

Table holders

All wires can also be collected under the table. Fix them with special holders.

To begin, attach the extension itself to the holder. Only not quite close to the edge, so that it does not catch the eye. Screws should be selected a quarter or half less than the thickness of the table so as not to spoil the view through holes. Connect to the extension cord everything you need and collect the wires with clamps.

Plastic cable channel

Assembling the wires together will help a plastic channel, which is fastened with self-tapping screws on both walls and furniture. The dimensions of the channels vary, depending on the diameter of the wires. You can find them in hardware stores.

But sometimes the cords need to be drawn through the entire room, and you don’t want to spoil the appearance with a plastic channel. Then you should take a closer look at the skirting board with built-in grooves.

Homemade furniture mount

To accommodate a large number of wires, there is also a solution that does not require special expenses. So, you can hang the wires on sticky hooks and hide them in this way behind the furniture.Or tie and secure the wires with cable ties or clamps glued with double-sided tape.
