How to dismantle a well if it has not been used for more than 15 years?
Is it possible to dismantle a water well if it has stood for more than 15 years without operation? On my site there are 3 of them, the depth is unknown, not in the documents (I inherited the land). Are there any options? Thank!

Hello Marlene.
The process of dismantling wells is called killing and is carried out in two stages. At the first, the casing is removed from the working, for which they use various lifting mechanisms - jacks, winches, etc. The second stage involves directly damping the penetration.
In domestic conditions, experts recommend filling the well with mortar. In order to reduce the cost of dismantling, the lower and upper part of the mine is often filled with a sand-cement mixture, and the middle part is poured with a thick clay solution. Note that this option will not work with a high level of groundwater - in this case, killing is performed only with the use of sand and cement.
