How should a toilet with a horizontal outlet be installed?

The master installed a toilet with a horizontal outlet into the sewer pipe. When flushing, water rises almost to the lower rim and only then is washed off. Is this the correct installation?Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hello Olga.

The toilet outlet is selected depending on the location of the socket of the sewer system and practically does not affect the water level in the bowl during the drain. With a properly functioning sewage system, the liquid level during flushing does not exceed the height of the upper point of the drain pipe, and it is approximately at the same level in devices with a direct and oblique outlet.

The selection of one or another type of release avoids the need to use various additional couplings, adapters and clowns. If the choice of a toilet with a horizontal outlet was due precisely to these reasons, then the master did the right thing.

As for the situation when the water rises almost to the lower rim, it can be due to both an imperfect drainage system of the plumbing fixture itself and a malfunction of the sewage system. Very often, a similar problem arises with a decrease in the bore or increased hydraulic resistance in the sewer pipes.
