Good afternoon, Alexander. In vain you did not indicate in what type of premises the heating system will be installed. If this is a summer house or a country house where you plan to visit on weekends, it would be better to install infrared ceiling heaters. Due to the fact that they do not heat the air, but the surfaces of objects, you can immediately feel the heat in the room, even if it was cold for several weeks. As the surrounding objects, walls and floors warm up, they will begin to give off heat to the surrounding air, so that the process of heating a room in the traditional sense will take longer than when using convection systems.
As for the warm floor, it is a fairly inertial system. Time to feel comfortable warmth will require much more than in the case of infrared heaters. Nevertheless, under conditions of continuous operation, a floor heating will be preferable. It gives a more “soft” heat, contributes to a rational distribution of temperature along the height of the room and is completely safe to use. In addition, the ceiling infrared heating system will cost you more than installing lower heaters.
