Good afternoon, Adam! Since you did not specify the material of the pipe and the mode of its operation (hot or cold water, temperature differences, working pressure parameters, etc.), we can recommend a universal method that can be used even at a pressure of more than 10 atmospheres. It consists in the fact that a bandage is applied to the site of the leak.
For this, a wide clamp is made of sheet steel of 2-3 mm of the same diameter as that of the pipe being repaired. Its design should allow for screeding with 2-3 bolts. Sealing is carried out using rubber (you can use a piece of an old car tire), which is applied to the crack with a 20-30% margin, after which the previously made patch is installed and its edges are bolted together.
A more visual representation of this process will help drawing.
Perhaps, for such a diameter, a collar consisting of two halves will be needed, but, of course, only welding can provide complete reliability and durability.
