Lyudmila, your case is a fairly common problem, which is very easily solved at home. To repair the damaged area, you will need sandpaper, a solvent, a rust converter and two-component enamel for repair. The work consists of two stages - surface preparation and, in fact, the application of enamel coating.

Preparation for painting should be carried out as thoroughly as possible - the strength and durability of the repair layer depend on this. To clean the damaged area, use sandpaper, which carefully removes rust and the remains of old enamel. After that, the cleaned area is treated with a rust converter, repeatedly passed through it with abrasive material and thoroughly degreased with a solvent.

The enamel is connected to the hardener in the proportion specified in the manufacturer's instructions, after which the prepared area, as well as the vast area around it, are heated with a hairdryer to a temperature of 40-50 ° C.

The repair composition is applied in several layers (depending on the type of material used and its fluidity), with intermediate drying for the time indicated on the package.

The term for the complete polymerization of enamel takes from 5 to 10 days, so it is not recommended to use the bath until the repair compound has completely set.
