Which pump to choose for a well
There is a well 25 meters deep. A column of water is only two meters from the bottom. What do you recommend buying a pump?

Expert Answer
Hello, Sergey.
In order to choose the right pump for your conditions, you need to know not only the depth of the well, but also the length of the horizontal section of the pipeline, as well as the height of the water rising from the ground level.
The pressure is calculated by the formula: Hp = Hh + Hm + Hs,
Where:
Hp is the calculated head value, m;
Hh - the height to which you want to raise water, m;
Hm is the distance from the well to consumers, m;
Hs - stock on spout, m.
If the pump will work as part of a pumping station, then for calculating Hs the upper pressure value of its hydraulic accumulator, taken in atmospheres, is multiplied by ten. For example, if the pump will be turned off when the pressure gauge reads 4 atm, then Hs = 40 m. If the pump delivers water directly to consumers, then to ensure normal water pressure in the taps, the value of Hs is assumed to be 15–20 m.
As for the second part of the question, the best option for your conditions would be the installation of a deep multistage centrifugal pump. Unlike the cheaper rotary or membrane unit, it has maximum reliability and durability, and in addition, when it is used, there is no vibration damaging the walls of the wells. Of the manufacturers, WILO, DAB and GRUNDFOS are considered the best. If you want to save, then choose "Aquarius", "Water cannon" or "Belamos". They have the same design as the best imported counterparts, and have proven themselves in real-world conditions.
