Problems with KIT Submersible Pump ECU

Good day. Please tell me the reason: we have a new submersible pump. The whale device is also new, but the water is constantly turned off and in order to turn it on, you must press the button forcibly. If the tap is open at full with water, then the water goes, and if it is closed or at partial open, it automatically turns off and the water stops flowing. Directly connected, water goes, but you need to turn off only with the press of a button. Could there be a valve in the kit?

Hello Olga.

A feature of the electronic control units for KIT submersible pumps is the function of protecting the connected unit from running without water (the so-called dry run protection), with insufficient fluid and when the suction height is exceeded. To ensure its operability, a flow sensor is installed in the device, which keeps the circuit closed all the time when liquid passes through the KIT device. In the event of a sensor breakdown or improper functioning, the circuit can open not only in the absence of a channel, but also with a small flow of water, therefore, first of all, check the operability of the dry running protection system.

The second reason for the described malfunction may be the lack of fluid in the suction pipe of the KIT. In this case, the pump will also be forced off to protect it from “dry operation”, and it can only be started by pressing the power button again. Since the non-return valve is installed in the pump control unit itself, a water leak from the supply line may indicate a leak - your assumptions about the valve malfunction are not without rational grain.

I would like to remind you that normal operation of the system with the electronic control unit of the pump is possible only when all points of the water intake are connected after the KIT device. Check if this requirement is complied with and, if necessary, eliminate installation errors.
