Pressure reducer does not respond to the opening of additional valves: what to do

Hello!

When using water, when the second mixer is turned on, the pressure drops sharply, and when all the mixers are turned on, there is no pressure at all. There is an Italian Itap Minibrass 1/2 pressure reducer, a filter with a manometer (clean filters). Should the pressure regulator regulate the outlet pressure if several mixers are switched on? What is the reason? And how to fix it? Thank you very much for your answer.

Good afternoon, Vyacheslav Viktorovich!

Of course, the pressure reducer must regulate the pressure in the dynamics, that is, respond to the opening of additional valves by increasing the flow of water. In your case, the device does not work correctly. This may be due to a breakdown or contamination of the internal elements of the gearbox, as well as problems that arise in the main itself. Be sure to check the pressure stability at the inlet and make sure that there are no blockages in the section from the riser. If everything is in order with the water supply, then the problem is in the control valves. It should be noted that the water pressure reducer is a rather capricious device, and even despite the big name of the manufacturer, it often creates problems during operation - here it is with luck.
