Installing a valve on a radiator
Hello.
Installed a new heating battery. A plastic pipe leads to it, which is connected to a metal one.
The faucet was put in front of the battery itself, and the plumber says that this is wrong and suggests redoing it. Allegedly, the crane had to be installed in front of a plastic pipe. Is it so?

Good afternoon, Svetlana.
It is unfortunate that you did not give the arguments that the ZhEK plumber cites in favor of your thoughts about installing the valve in front of the plastic pipe. The only thing that may come to mind is the possibility of a more convenient repair (or replacement) of this section of the trunk in case of leakage or damage. In this case, the faucet installed immediately after the metal pipe will be really more functional, since it will allow you to block the access of the coolant not only to the radiator, but also to the plastic pipe with its additional connection points.
As for the reliability and durability of the installation, here, as they say, the amount does not change from changing the terms of the terms - the valve will be fixed with sufficient rigidity in both cases. Given all of the above, we recommend that you leave everything as is. If, for some unknown reasons, the specialist you brought in insists on his own, then we will be grateful if you share new information with us - perhaps it will help other readers make their home more comfortable and safe.
