Is it possible to install two gas boilers in parallel

Hello.

Is it possible to supply 2 gas heating boilers instead of one: one dual-circuit, the second single-circuit. The total power is the same. It is necessary for safety net. Suddenly, in the middle of winter, one boiler fails, then at least the other will maintain a minimum of heat, or will the second turn on after the first?

Expert Answer

Hello, Alexander.

Modern automation equipment, which are installed in heating boilers, are highly reliable and durable. Units are designed to work for a long time, so such a safety net does not make sense. However, you can install two units by turning them on in parallel. If one boiler fails, it will be possible to turn on the second heating device, and thereby restore the heat supply without delay. We recommend installing separate valves on the supply and return lines of each heater - they will completely disconnect the broken boiler from the heating system. This may be necessary if the unit fails due to leaking walls and leaks arising from this.
