How I made a pull-out shelf with my own hands so that there is more space in the refrigerator

When we bought our own refrigerator, we were primarily guided not only by the budget (it was very limited), but also by the capacity of the chosen model. Already during the operation it became clear that even with a large filling between the shelves there is a lot of unused space. I had a question, what to do in order to benefit from the free space.

On the Internet, I looked at the cute shelves that suited all my needs just right. But the catch was that after the order, it took about a month to wait for delivery.

Stirring the convolutions, I realized that you can use a regular plastic container (especially since there were just a couple of those empty at home). All that was left was to figure out how to fix the box on the shelf so that it would hold tight and not fall.

The answer came unexpectedly when I was sorting clean linen. In the far corner of the closet were plastic clothes hanger, which I had long wanted to throw away, but I forgot about them all the time. It was decided to use them as a mount for a hanging shelf.

To make a hanging box in the refrigerator, I needed only a plastic container, garden shears, a coat hanger and a glue gun. I am sure that almost all of this list is in almost every house.

I cut the shoulders with garden shears in three places: exactly in the middle of the lower crossbar, and on the sides of the hook. The result was two arched blanks of fixtures. I smeared one part with glue and quickly applied it to the side of the container so that the upper half of the arc was parallel to the upper edge of the container. I repeated the same steps on the second side of the tray.

For greater persuasiveness, I conducted a test drive: I put in a container a package of sugar weighing two kilograms and held it for arcs. Test my device was successful and nothing fell off. Satisfied with the result, I put the fruits in the tray and sent it to its rightful place in the refrigerator.
