Ignoring the instructions: what happens if powder is poured directly into the drum of a washing machine?

Everyone who has a washing machine knows well what a special tray with a separator is for. But is it really necessary? What if in fact washing powder can be poured directly into the drum? Refer to the manufacturers instructions.
Is it possible to pour powder into the drum of a machine
To get started, it’s worth understanding how the tray works. When the user pours powder into it and turns on the machine, water enters the tray. The washing agent dissolves in it, foams and, in this form, is sent to the drum. What will happen if we pour the powder directly into the laundry? It turns out nothing good. With such a washing, the powder may not dissolve well enough and quickly, and because of this, you will find granules of a detergent on washed laundry. In addition, some companies produce products with colored granules. In case of unsuccessful circumstances, light linen can be painted with just such a pellet. Removing such a stain can then be difficult. And all because the granule did not dissolve before washing.

The colored granules of some powders may very well stain your laundry if you do not dissolve them in advance
Manufacturer's operating instructions confirm that powder cannot be poured into the drum. And the point here is not to maintain the working condition of the machine, but exclusively as a wash. But what if you just can't remember which compartment to pour the detergent into? Or is it simply uncomfortable for you? In this case, liquid detergents come to the rescue.
Laundry detergent - straight to the drum
Liquid detergents are relatively expensive, but are often positioned as hypoallergenic, suitable for children. And, which is especially important for us now, they can be poured directly into the drum. This is confirmed by the operating instructions for washing machines, for example, Bosch. Machine manufacturers offer to measure the right amount of liquid detergent with a dispenser and pour it into the drum.

The instructions of the washing machines indicate that liquid detergents can be added to the drum, previously measured with a special dispenser
From the point of view of operation, there is no difference between the gel and liquid detergent - both of them can be poured into the drum, having previously measured the required dose according to the instructions.
Here are some examples of such tools:
- Frosch Laundry Detergent;
- gel for washing "Weasel 3D";
- Ariel washing gel.
In addition to conventional liquid products, there are capsules in bottles. They are water-soluble airtight bags containing detergent inside. Typically, capsules are divided into two sections - one manufacturer pours a washing gel, and the second a conditioner.The convenience of the capsules lies in the ready-made dosage, as well as in the fact that they can simply be thrown into the drum. Now in the mass market you can find the usual Ariel, Tide or Persil capsules. There are also less popular brands: Lotta, BabyLine, Touching Nature.
The attitude to the capsules among customers was divided - some liked the novelty for convenience and ease of use, while others are convinced that the washing result leaves much to be desired.
The capsule dissolves very easily and quickly even in cold water. The capsule is thrown directly into the drum of the machine along with the laundry. Personally from me - you need to throw it closer to the back wall of the drum, otherwise the capsule can be thrown onto the rubber at the door of the machine and then it does not spin and dissolves very slowly. The rinse cycle is already beginning, and these residues are still hanging around the glass. I can say that for me these capsules have only one plus - they wash well. But liquid concentrates in bottles do it no worse.
I think washing with such a tool is convenient, rational and economical. I always know how many washings of powder I have left, and also the capsules are easy to carry home from the store.
A tray for washing powders was added to the design of the machine for a reason. Therefore, if you want to add a detergent directly to the drum, choose special forms, for example, capsules.
