Yeast for a country toilet: how to use them so that there is no disaster

An ordinary street toilet has many shortcomings, including the need for periodic cleaning of the pit and a specific amber. To eliminate them, apply various specialized and folk compositions. The use of yeast for a country toilet causes a lot of controversy, because not everyone thinks it is effective and safe enough.

Why add yeast to the country toilet

For the efficient processing of waste products based on yeast culture, bacterial-enzymatic and chemical preparations have been developed. Yeast is a unicellular fungus whose vital activity takes place in a liquid and semi-liquid medium, in an organic substrate. They need oxygen for respiration, although in its absence, yeast can receive energy through fermentation. They can successfully replace bacterial compounds, since the actions of unicellular organisms are similar to the activity of bacteria. To start the process, it is required to soak dry mixtures in warm water (according to the instructions), let stand for 2–3 hours and pour into a pit.

They actively reproduce and process organic compounds, including excrement, under certain conditions:

  1. The optimum temperature is 22–38 degrees. Unlike bacteria, yeast continues its activity at lower temperatures - 3–7 degrees.
  2. To accelerate the fermentation process, they require air access, which is achieved by mixing the contents of the pit. With enough oxygen, the yeast assimilates a wider range of substances (carbohydrates, starch, fat, hydrocarbon, aromatic compounds, nitrates).
  3. Lack of chemicals.

For example, bleach added earlier will kill microorganisms, and there will be no effect.

Yeast compositions have several advantages in the form of:

  • high speed of disposal;
  • long acting;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • lack of frequent pumping, because after processing there remains liquid slurry, which is used for fertilizer;
  • eliminate odor.

In store preparations, yeast cultures are in a state of expectation, as soon as they find themselves in warm water, they wake up and begin to feed on the organics in the pit. Since only organic waste can be processed, chemicals in the form of aggressive liquids and high concentration household solutions are not allowed.

Means based on yeast contribute to the processing of feces and reduce their volume for subsequent use in the preparation of compost. They are able to eliminate unpleasant odors from the toilet in warm weather.

What can be the unpleasant consequences of using yeast

Under all conditions, the yeast begins to actively "work", while emitting large quantities of gas and foaming feces, which formed the basis of jokes about revenge on neighbors. Indeed, if there is not enough space left in the pit, then an unpleasant mass can come out, exuding a stinking stink.Therefore, it should be borne in mind that the volume of the content will increase, and the smell will become somewhat stronger, but it will pass quickly.

How to use yeast for a country toilet

Pressed or baked pressed yeast (200 g) should be diluted in a bucket of warm water with the addition of 1 tbsp. sugar and put them in a warm place overnight to activate.

Then pour them into the toilet pit and mix. In order for the process to go, it needs to be done in July, when the mass is warmed up to the full depth. Dry yeast, in addition to unicellular microorganisms, contains enzymes and additives that accelerate the process.

You can make a good tool with your own hands, which will last for a long time. It consists of:

  • forest soil with white veins of mycelium or humus - 25 l;
  • sawdust - 50 l;
  • bran - 25 l;
  • village milk - 2 l;
  • crushed charcoal - 25 l;
  • old jam or other natural sweet product - 4 l;
  • raw yeast - 200 g;
  • water - 5 l.

The number of components is designed for a 200 liter barrel.

  1. First, separate dry and separately liquid substances should be mixed. Then mix everything in a container. The substrate, when compressed in a fist, should be moist, but not wet - moisture should not come out between the fingers.
  2. Close the barrel tightly with a lid with a hole (1 cm) for the exit of gases. Insert a hose into the hole, lower the other end into a container of water.
  3. After a week, it will be clear that air escapes through the hose.

If the mixture smells like yeast, beer, bread or wine, then everything worked out and you can use the product immediately or dry it in the sun, sprinkling it with a thin layer. A dry preparation can be stored for more than a year. For immediate use, after each visit to the toilet, pour 1 tbsp. l funds in the pit.

When choosing one or another product, it should be borne in mind that after biological compounds, the residues can be used in compost or agriculture, and after chemicals, waste disposal will be required.
