How to make a drip irrigation system for trees?
Hello. I have a row of thuja 50 meters. Watering needs 2 hours. How and from what to make drip irrigation? The distance between thujas is 70 cm, the source is a water supply of 3 atm. I thought from pipes PPR with holes through 35 cm, but it turns out that the watering zone will be only in one place from the root. Maybe you have an idea?

Expert Answer
Hello, Sergey.
We offer you to equip drip irrigation system using special labyrinth tapes.
The system will consist of a central pipeline and branches extending from it. The main line can be made of polyethylene or polypropylene pipes with a diameter of 20-25 mm, and the contours - with tape for drip irrigation. There is no need to make a separate allotment for each plant - up to 10 thuja can be covered by one branch.
Contours can be laid in any configuration, focusing on the optimal location relative to the roots of each plant. The advantage of this method is that the soil is saturated with moisture evenly and gradually. At the same time, it is possible to avoid leaching the soil and spreading water over a large area with insufficient absorption directly in the places where the bushes grow.
