Why there is no pressure in the HDPE pipe

Good evening! I have 17 meters from the water mirror to the house to the pumping station. From the mirror to the ground plane 1.5 meters. The pumping station costs Gardena 5000 with a capacity of 1200 watts. Everything is connected through the collectors, this is a boiler, washing machine, push, shower, dishwasher, sink and moydodyr. The total footage, laid under the house on the communications, 60 meters. I had a problem: why there is no pressure in the HDPE pipe that comes from the well, what could be the reason? Thank you in advance.

Hello, Victor.

The lack of pressure in the suction section indicates either a malfunction of the pump station or the hydraulic resistance of the line is too high for your unit to function normally. The requirements for the Gardena 5000 automatic water supply device indicate that its maximum self-priming height is 8 meters. In principle, this should be enough for your case, since the distance from the water mirror in the well to the level of the section (1.5 m) and the length of the horizontal section to the pumping station are 17 m (if you bring it to a vertical parameter, this term will be 1.7 m) . The suction height in your circuit is 3.2 m, so there is no need to talk about excessive removal of equipment from the well.

Possible causes of too high hydraulic resistance may be a pipe with a reduced diameter, a filter or check valve malfunction (if any), blockages in the line, etc. If, after checking and eliminating all these factors, the malfunction is not eliminated, then pump malfunction diagnostics will be required.
