3 Ways to Clean Your Home's Shine with Lemon

Cleaning the house can be done without an arsenal of detergents. An ordinary lemon will help you with this. It effectively removes any dirt and kills unpleasant odors.
Microwave
On the walls, tray and door of the microwave oven, food debris and grease spatter accumulate, which leads to an unpleasant odor inside the appliance. It is easy to get rid of such pollution with the help of lemon juice. In addition to citrus, you will need deep dishes suitable for use in the microwave, and water. The procedure is as follows:
- Pour 1 glass of water into a bowl.
- Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice out of it into a bowl of water.
- The remaining pulp is cut into small pieces and added to the bowl.
- All ingredients are mixed, the container is sent to the microwave.
The timer on the device is set for three minutes. During this time, the water will boil and begin to evaporate inside the microwave. If, after the indicated time, liquid remains in the bowl, then the stove is turned on for a couple more minutes. After turning off, you do not need to open the door immediately. It takes time for the couples to settle on the inside.
After about five minutes, you can start cleaning. The bowl can be very hot, so you need to take it out with care. First, remove the tray, and then wipe the walls and door with a damp cloth or sponge. All steamed contaminants are removed without difficulty. If persistent stains remain on the surface, they can be cleaned by treating with the remaining lemon solution.
Cutting board
It is impossible to do without a cutting board in the kitchen. It is used constantly, but it is very rarely cleaned thoroughly. Wooden boards absorb all odors well, and food debris in the porous surface promotes the growth of bacteria, so you can not do without regular cleaning and disinfection.
Lemon does a good job of this. The cleaning procedure consists of several simple steps:
- Lemon is cut into 2 halves (one on each side of the board).
- Rub with lemon, firmly pressing a half to the surface.
- Wash the board under running water and wipe it with paper towels.
In this way, dirt can be removed from both wooden and plastic boards. If no one has looked after them for a long time, then one lemon juice may not be enough.
For a more thorough cleaning, the lemon-treated board is still sprinkled with rock salt and left for 10 to 15 minutes. Then they take the remaining half of citrus and begin to clean the surface with salt crystals. At the end, salt and lemon juice are washed off with warm water and the board dried.
Mirror
Mirrors and glass surfaces of lemon juice will quickly get rid of any stains. Water is collected in a spray bottle and several tablespoons of lemon juice are added to it. The resulting liquid is thoroughly mixed and sprayed on a mirror surface, after 10 minutes, wipe with a clean soft cloth. This tool perfectly removes dust and returns the mirror to its original shine.
A mirror cleaning fluid can be prepared according to another recipe. In addition to water and lemon juice, add 2 - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of vinegar and the resulting solution is treated surface. Instead of citrus, citric acid powder can be used. If diluted in liquid, it allows you to easily remove any stuck leaks on the mirror or glass.
